Castle Eberstein at Gernsbach

Right in the heart of Baden, where the Murg and Rhine valleys meet, Schloss Eberstein rises high above the romantic town of Gernsbach. Once owned by the Margraves of Baden, the castle was lovingly restored and renovated with great attention to detail. Today, it shines brighter than ever – side by side with its owners, Gerd and Katharina Overlack. Near Baden-Baden, a true little gem has emerged, which has also become a culinary highlight for the region thanks to the tenant family, Bernd and Roswitha Werner. We met and fell in love at the Garbe restaurant.The challenges of Swabian beer-garden madness shaped us and brought us even closer together. Even today, we look back on that time with both laughter and a little nostalgia – because that’s where we learned how to handle chaos.

First Vacation – Rome – 01/18

We’d love to tell you about our unforgettable trip to Rome – a city full of history, romance and adventure. From ancient ruins to picturesque squares, Rome instantly captivated us with its breathtaking sights and vibrant atmosphere. Every day was a new adventure: we got lost in the Colosseum, admired the beauty of the Vatican and enjoyed amazing food in small, cozy trattorias.

Getting to know the family – wedding 08/18

We had the great pleasure of attending the beautiful wedding of Tihana and Bojan, which turned into an unforgettable family celebration. The celebration took place at a stunning location, surrounded by lovingly chosen decorations and a festive atmosphere that immediately spread to everyone there. It was a day filled with laughter, joy and touching moments, as the whole family came together to celebrate the couple’s love. From the emotional vows to the lively dancing – every moment was a true celebration of love and togetherness.

Moving to baiersbronn 06/22

We took a big step and moved to Baiersbronn in the Black Forest to find our happiness and grow as individuals. Surrounded by the breathtaking nature and picturesque landscapes of the Black Forest, we settled into one of the renowned 5-star superior hotels – known not only for its luxury, but also for its inspiring atmosphere. Sandra as a Sommeliere and Christian as a sous chef. Here, we don’t just want to enjoy the peace and beauty of our surroundings, but also take the time to work on ourselves and gain new perspectives.

The question – 03/24

Christian: “In March 2024, I experienced a truly special moment when I proposed to Sandra along the picturesque Moselle River. On our way to the impressive Château Neercanne, everything felt just right: the gentle flow of the Moselle, the warm spring sunshine and the stunning vineyards created a romantic atmosphere that made this day unforgettable. With a heart full of love and excitement – and a few slightly awkward moments of misdirection – I finally asked the question of all questions. In that magical moment, surrounded by the beauty of nature, I could hardly believe how perfectly everything came together. Sandra’s radiant smile and her answer turned this proposal into one of the most beautiful moments of my life. Afterwards, we naturally bought a lot of wine and wrapped up the perfect day with an unforgettable dinner.
